My new gig!

Well hello my dear sweet friends and fans!

Got a call I thought I would never get couple weeks ago. Since starting the company (Iron Angels Promotions, LLC) I have had the opportunity to meet so many great people. As you know Iron Angels works with several wonderful charities and foundations. I had a business lunch with Sam Johnston with St. Jude's Foundation about a month ago. We went over a couple of events they have next year that we will be helping promote. He mentioned one he is having in Vegas its a charity boxing match. I was joking with him that he should let me do that.

Well.....lol last week I got a call from him that he wanted me to do that match. Wow I thought I feel honored. I accepted. They will pay to fly me out there and hotel! Vegas baby!!.......After I calmed down I thought oh my goodness I dont really have any prior experience in boxing. I keep telling myself its for a good cause I get my head knocked off...:) I called Sam back we talked for awhile he set me up with a pro boxer in fort worth that will be training me 5 times a week. I love a challenge and its definitely a new kind of training for me. Its not going to be easy alot of cardio and plyometrics.

I had my first boxing practice yesterday......yowza!!! I am so sore today in places I have never been. My forearms and hands are so sore. Coach said I would get used to it but wow this is crazy! He showed me technique. We sparred the last 15 mins he said I had a mean punch but I definitely need to work on my stamina! I dont think I would make all the rounds if Im not conditioned enough. That will come with time. I plan on hitting the cardio harder than I ever have! I am proud to have gotten sponsors for my already for my match! Thank you Palm Beach Tan and Supplement Warehouse!

Iron Angels Promotions had a great turnout at our promo for Supplement Warehouse at La fitness yesterday. We were exhausted afterwards but everyone was so sweet! Thanks Chris Williams for the entertainment.....lol ! Posted some pics from the promo for ya!

I will keep this blog current with all my crazy training that I will be doing to get ready for this event.

Chow for now!

God Bless!

Need to Vent!!!

Hello! Happy Monday.....hmmm I so need to vent to you!

I was in a gym (not saying the name of the gym) and this really fit lady in her 40's had this beautiful 6 pack, she was training with a trainer. As I proceeded to watch I got so mad he was doing the most lame training with her. Later after my workout I was stretching on the mat and the lady and her trainer came over to do abs next to me. Not being nosy but they were talking quite loudly. She was telling him that she wanted to compete and the trainer said "yeah I can get you there no problem" Agh!! Please dude. Listen I don't know everything but I do know this ,being around the fitness industry awhile,Bodybuilding is a science! Its not just training somebody like you do everybody else you really have to know how to play with there body. Everything from sodium loading to carb depletion. These trainers who go to Cooper (not knocking that institute but still scary you can get you certification in one week) for one week and get certified and never been to a bodybuilding show in there life think they can train somebody for a show. It's not fair to that person when they trust you and they think you know what you are doing.

A couple of weeks later a got a call from a lady who was told to call me by several people about competing. She had met some of the people I had trained for shows. I called her back and we talked for awhile she told me her trainer put her on a so called "competition diet". She told me what it was and I was disgusted! He had pretzels and weight gainer shakes on her diet what the heck she wants to do figure not a powerlifting show. I gave her some advice but because I had no room to train her I gave her number to one of the best trainers in the industry, because I trust his work.

Bottom line is this. Bodybuilding is a science! All the people I have trained for shows it was a day by day thing. Sometimes I would have to change there diet on a daily basis. People who do bodybuilding shows work hard and diet for 3 months and they trust you so you better know what you are doing. Remember they have to stand in front of thousands of people in a bathing suit so you owe it to them to be that scientist!

Thank for letting me vent.....agh I feel better

Introducing Iron Angels....

Well we have finally arrived on the world of blogging its about time ,I guess. Who is Iron Angels? Two very driven fitness models who want to share with the world everything there is to know about this crazy and sometimes stressful industry. Do we know everything there is to know about this industry no, but we want to share the knowledge we have and take you along the journey as we grow our empire and name.

Brandi and I met last year I saw her and knew she had potential to be a fitness model. I started to train her and we instantly became best friends. She has a grace and pose about her that's hard to find. I have no doubt you will see her on a cover someday.

At this time we are both working hard networking and trying to get our website up and running by September 2010.

Iron Angels is not just a name its a business that will contain a lot of great products and services to you. We are in the process of designing our apparel everything from hats, tanks to workout pants. Also on our websites you will find diaries you can read from us, exclusive VIP access and memberships, training packages, photo shoots and so much more...

Another project we will have going in September is our youtube reality series where we will be followed around giving you a look at our crazy lives. Trust me you don't want to miss this! What to expect: viewings of our intense workouts, free time, working promo events and so much more ,never know what to expect from us!

Which brings me to the present time. As far as our blogs we will update them as much as possible.

At this time we are both training and getting ready for a photo shoot with the great fitness photographer Dan Ray in two weeks. When we get the photos we will post them sometimes it takes awhile to get them back. In September we will have several shoots set up with different photographers to put on our website along with promos just about every week. Soon as we get dates nailed down I will post our schedule that way if you are in the area we would love to meet you!:) If you would like to get on our mailing list email me at ironangels007@yahoo.com
